Starting to look like a car again.  I made good progress on putting it back together after work today:

But what's this?  I think I could handle my car with 2x the current horsepower:

On a more serious note I have the following parts on the way:

  • Rear Wing
  • Front Splitter
  • Solid Diff bushings
  • Rear swaybar mount reinforcement tabs
  • Front subframe reinforcement plates
  • rear trailing arm reinforcement mount plates
  • head light delete
  • 295/30/18 Hoho's
  • Much stiffer springs
  • Rebuilt and valved shocks for said springs
  • New perches since America still hasn't learned about the metric system
  • Rear weight jackers (someone shoot me if I ever say that I need to add some "wedge" to the car)
  • Brass rear caliper guide pin bushings
  • Switch panel (for DL-1, AIM, etc.)

Now I just need to get it all on the car (if everything makes it in :crosses fingers:) in a week and a half.

Yes, I plan on replacing the Recaro with this:

Haha, looks light weight.  We made some progress with the lap battle 240.  Hopefully we can finish up some loose ends soon.  Keep us informed about the menace!

Keep us informed about the menace!

Well I finally got tracker info and most of my parts are arriving on the 30th or the 1st.  So it is going to be a mad dash to get everything installed.

Of course having my camcorder stolen this week isn't helping.  Angry Angry Angry  At least the guy was too stupid to steal the $4K worth of car stuff right next to the 8 year old camcorder.  Though I'd imagine fencing a DL-1 and AIM dash etc. is more difficult than the camcorder. Wink

Made quite a bit of progress today.  The motor is back to functional.  Interior is 99% complete (just need to hook up the AIM dash and tie-wrap the wires, but since my laptop was stolen, I've not had time to load the configuration software on a tmp one.):

Got wing?

Tomorrow I need to go to Tooele to get the trailer, add the front splitter, redo the suspension, set the ride height, corner balance and then align it at Wheel Werks and get new tires mounted.

Oh and apparently there is news that I may have to resticker my numbers as if I don't have enough on my plate.  Angry

P.S. Note the lack of H&R stickers.  I've gone from red to blue.  Cool
P.P.S.  Mounted the transponder and cleaned up the months of fiberglass/carbon fiber dust that'd accumulated from being in the shop. Wink

We will see him in the morning?  too close to call, stay tuned...

Went to bed at 1am, got up at 4.  Josh @ Eurosport High Performance met me at his shop at 5am and we cranked out enough to get on the road.  Thanks to Wheel Werks for getting my tires mounted this morning on short notice!!  Josh and I ballparked the ride height and did a patented EyeBall (tm) alignment.

So I missed the 1st session, and my gas gauge stopped working (so I just filled it to the brim), had tire rub out the wazoo.  Thanks to Yorkee for helping me unload the car and many thanks to Matt and his dad for their help throughout the day!  Oh and of course thanks to Jeff Weiss for letting me store the car in his garage since I messed up the front spoiler and probably won't be able to put it back on should I have to take it off (which I need to do to load it into the trailer.)

Even though I got there late and today was mostly a blur, it seemed like everyone was working well with traffic and had great attitudes.  I'd call the 1st day a success. Smiley

Edit:  On a side note, I heard that I was running slicks.  While I normally do, I mounted up some Hoosier DOT-R's since that is what the rules call for.

I saw the D.O.Ts on Mr. Greens car.  And the lack of a supercharger.  Thanks for the kind words.  Today went very well.  I was very happy to see you out there Todd.  We will see you all tomorrow.

This may have been replaced with a tiny blue threat.
